In 2013, Carbon County purchased the historic Hugus-Ferguson Building in Downtown Rawlins as the future home of Carbon County Museum & Research Center. This purchase not only saves the iconic building from further deterioration, it nearly triples the museum’s square footage for exhibitions, events, and all the behind-the-scenes work of Preserving Our Heritage!
